March 30th (30 days)

Shoulders and back

After feeling lazy the day before, i made sure to bust it today.  After i finished my work out my arms felt very sore and like i accomplished something.

March 29th (30 days)

Plyometrics

Today was one of the first days I felt lazy.  I did the entire plyometrics work-out, but it was not as effective as the other times.

March 28th (30 Days)

Chest and Back

The cycle starts over again, and begins with chest and back.  This is a great exercise to build back strength.  Every muscle group has been feeling compensated for.  Especially because on top of working out I play basketball.

March 27th (30 days)

Stretch day

Today way is the once a week break we get.  They just had me stretch to prepare for Monday.

March 26th (30 days)

Kenpo

Today once again was Kenpo Karate.  This is one of my favorite videos as stated earlier.  It is new and exciting and goes by fast.  It is a great work out.

March 25 (30 Days)

Today was supposed to be Kenpo, but as Tony says the beautiful thing about p90x is you can change it up and do different exercises to change things up.  Since Kenpo is primarily cardio, I decided to play basketball for three hours.

March 24th (30 Days)

Legs and back

This exercise was very demanding.  It made my legs and lower core feel almost out of control.  I did a combination of so many leg moves that the next day my legs were the sorest i have been since i started working out.

March 23rd (30 days)

Yoga

This was the first time I have ever done the p90x yoga section.  I was pleasantly surprised how challenging it was.  There were a few moves that I couldn't do, but over time i will be able to do them.  Yoga required a lot of balance and muscle strength.  This is one of my exciting moments that i have experienced.  I have learned that i like yoga a lot.

March 22nd (30 days)

Shoulders and Back

Today was a rather easy workout comparatively.  I tied three workout bands together to create more tension that made my workout much harder.  I did a combination of seated and standing shoulder extensions, and several curls.

March 21st (30 days)

Plyometrics

Today was solely based on cardio, core, and leg strength.  I worked out with my friend Nick today.  We did a combination of both running and movement exercises.  We worked our legs and calves to the point of destruction.  Today was one of the hardest workouts in the series and on top of this I played basketball for two hours.  There have been no issues so far and P90 x has been going great.

March 20th (30 days)

Today is the first day I have been able to come back to p90x.

Today was Arms and back. I did several different types of push ups including standard, close grip, diamond, military and incline.  This was in addition with the same forms of pull ups.  After the main work out I did Ab ripper X for 15 minutes. I had a great work out today and I feel a lot was accomplished.

March 14th-17th

I missed Tuesday's class due to a stomach virus.  I have a doctor's note to validate this situation.  The Doctor said the trauma from my surgery was probably the reason why my immune system was down so low.  I have been up late puking and having painful diarrhea. Luckily The doctor has prescribed me medicine that helps with both symptoms.   This has once again hindered the progress of my workout regiment, but I am not going to give up and I will finish the second month of p90x even if it takes longer than the 30 days.

March 7th-14th

Monday I had to have an unexpected surgery to remove my impacted wisdom teeth.  With that being the case i was not able to do any work outs.  Since i missed about a week i will just skip the rest week when it comes and continue the work outs.

March 6th (30 days)

Kenpo Karate

The karate circuit has made it's way around again.  There are three different levels of intensity that goes up at the end of each month.  Until you are ready for the next level it is important to work hard on the same work outs.

March 5th (30 days)

Push ups

Today is straight muscle growth.  There is a combination of both push ups and pull ups that are very hard to accomplish.  But as Tony says just do your best and forget the rest.  If you cannot keep up with the video then you can go at your own pace and build your own progress up.

March 4th

Plyometrics

This is one of the two hardest work outs in the series.  It is a mix of both cardio and endurance. This work out will make even those in the best shape sweat, and there have been many times i have wanted to throw up due to the intensity.

march 3rd (30 days)

rest day

The options for rest days include either yoga or self stretching.  I choose stretching because i am not flexible enough to do most of the moves that are done during yoga.

March 2nd (30 day)

Arms and back

Wednesday was a focus on muscle strength with the use of the arm bands.  I did several arm extensions along with push ups to strengthen different muscle groups.

March 1st (30 day emmersion project)

Kenpo Karate

Today was a difficult work out that included utilizing both cardio and muscular endurance.  I did a mix of both kicking punching and intense cardio moves to keep heart rate at a fast steady pace.  According to the box approximately 1000 calories will be burned with each exercise so dieting should not be a huge issue but i am still eating healthy and only drinking water.

Arguments are a very common form of communication.  When arguing with a peer it is important to keep in mind a purpose and not just a release of random emotions that can make people upset.  There are many ways one can go about choosing a positive argument.  It is important to learn how to best construct each argument into something which can be used in a positive manner.  Knowing the difference between reporting and arguing can be useful by letting both parties involved realize the situation.  By seeing when one is just reporting it can be assumed that all the information is known.  By arguing people can both learn from one another.

Ethos, pathos, and logos are all important factor of arguing.  Ethos appeals to credibility and authority.  Pathos appeals to emotion, and logos appeals to logic and reason.  When arguing it is important to keep each of these factors in mind and use each category to get one's point across.  When one can master each one of these categories they can easily win any argument with anyone.  It is important to listen to the person you are debating with.  Learning from what they are saying is a very useful way to help back up one's own argument.
